CABRERA NATIONAL PARK

This expedition is reserved for the students of our IB Changemakers program.
Students and a teachers will join the crew of the Toftevaag for a scientific expedition in the Balearic Sea. We will be navigating the waters around Cabrera National Reserve in search of dolphins, whales, turtles, seabirds and large pelagic fish species. On this 6 day cruise you will learn to collect scientific data, identify different species and sail a classic ship, among other things. Enjoy delicious sustainable meals and make a difference in the world of marine conservation. The data you help collect will go directly towards the management of the marine protected areas we explore.

Just like with our other expeditions, we will conduct surveys of key pelagic species in the Mediterranean and study the effects of plastic pollution on the marine ecosystem.

We'll spend most days out at sea, looking for sperm whales, dolphins, pilot whales and sea turtles. During the night, we'll moor our ship in the beautiful natural reserve of Cabrera.
